MUSIC VIDEO TASK 11

PRODUCTION LOG

Pre-production:  Pink-Blow Me One Last Kiss was my choice of music and the plan for my music video was to have a impressionist music video with a simple narrative. The narrative was set around a celebrities frustrating lifestyle of having to always be ''bossed'' around and have restricted freedom to do things. The celebrity in my music video is played by myself. The music video portrays by anguish and resentment for my job. It takes place on a runway stage where there are photographers, journalists, paparazzi's and designers watching me. There is a backstage scene where I'm surrounded by strangers touching me to fix my hair,make-up and nails. I feel suffocated and anxious and wish for them all to leave me alone. In order to portray the runway stage of my catwalk, a green screen was to be used and edited into the video.
Storyboards were drawn out in rough detail in conjunction with thorough camera shoots and movement intentions. Time scheduling was decided with other contributors of the music video whom would be involved.

Production: During production our plan went smoothly without any problems.

Postproduction  It was during the post production I came to face with many challenges such as the green screen editing , the including of the shoots and scenes.I had realised I had not taken enough close-up shots and narrative based shots to prolong my entire video and had to film again. Time being a huge cause of concern. During editing i included effects such as ''flashes'' to portray paparazzi camera's. I also ensured that during the chorus of the song my footage will be in black and white to make a clear distinction between the 'good' times of the narrative from the 'bad' times.
